Timmy Galvin is an American entrepreneur and software executive who is the co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Fazeshift, an artificial intelligence company that automates accounts receivable processes for businesses. Fazeshift participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch.[1]

Early life and education

Galvin attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he met his co-founder Caitlin Leksana.[1]

Career

After completing their MBAs at Harvard, Galvin and Leksana initially started a business-to-business (B2B) marketing software startup. Through that experience, they encountered firsthand the challenges associated with managing accounts receivable — a process that typically involves significant manual work and fragmented data spread across multiple software platforms.[1]

This led the pair to found Fazeshift, where Galvin serves as CTO. The company develops AI agents designed to automate accounts receivable workflows. Fazeshift's infrastructure connects data across enterprise software platforms such as QuickBooks, Stripe, NetSuite, DocuSign, HubSpot, and Salesforce, and uses large language models (LLMs) to automate previously manual processes including cash application and collections. The company positions its product as an overlay that works with existing systems rather than requiring businesses to replace their current software stack.[2]

Fazeshift was part of Y Combinator's Summer 2024 cohort and is based in San Francisco. In January 2025, the company announced it had raised $4 million in seed funding in a round led by Gradient, Google's early-stage AI investment fund.[1]

The Fazeshift team includes members with backgrounds at institutions and companies such as Amazon, C3.ai, Stanford University, Harvard, and MIT.[2]
