Caitlin Leksana is an American entrepreneur and the co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Fazeshift, an artificial intelligence startup that automates accounts receivable (AR) processes for enterprises. The company participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch and is based in San Francisco.[1]

Early life and education

Leksana studied mechanical engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology's George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, graduating in 2016. Her coursework included control systems, robotics, nanoengineering, and electrochemistry.[2] She later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School, where she met her co-founder, Timmy.[1]

Career

After completing their MBAs, Leksana and her co-founder started a B2B marketing software startup, during which they experienced firsthand the difficulties of managing accounts receivable. This led them to found Fazeshift, which uses large language models (LLMs) to automate AR workflows that previously required significant manual effort.[1]

Fazeshift's platform connects data across fragmented software systems such as QuickBooks, Stripe, NetSuite, DocuSign, HubSpot, and Salesforce. By integrating these data sources, the company's AI agents automate tasks including cash application and collections that were traditionally handled by dedicated teams. The company operates in the fintech, B2B, and AI sectors.[3]

Fazeshift participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch. In January 2025, the company announced a $4 million seed funding round led by Gradient, Google's early-stage AI fund. Leksana stated the funding would be used to grow the team, advance the product, and expand the technology's reach.[2]

As CEO, Leksana takes on responsibilities spanning sales, hiring, marketing, and product development, though she has stated that her primary focus is ensuring her team has the resources needed to build the product. Fazeshift has been featured by outlets including Axios, the New York Stock Exchange, and SiliconANGLE.[3]

Prior to Fazeshift, Leksana co-founded Carma, a Web3 community management platform.
