Sigge Labor is a Swedish entrepreneur and technologist known as a co-founder of Legora (formerly known as Leya), an artificial intelligence-powered workspace designed for lawyers and legal professionals. Legora was part of the Y Combinator Winter 2024 batch.[1]

Career

Labor co-founded Legora alongside Max Junestrand. The company, originally called Leya, develops an AI-powered platform that enables law firms and legal professionals to automate repetitive tasks, conduct legal research, draft and review documents, and access both public legal sources and their own internal data within a single workspace.[2] The platform integrates with document management systems such as iManage and SharePoint and offers solutions tailored to litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and other legal practice areas.

Legora has experienced rapid growth and attracted significant venture capital investment. In May 2024, while still operating under the name Leya, the company raised $10.5 million in a round led by Benchmark with participation from Hummingbird and other investors. This was followed by a $25 million Series A round in July 2024. In May 2025, Legora secured an $80 million Series B round led by ICONIQ and General Catalyst, with continued participation from Redpoint Ventures and Benchmark. By October 2025, the company had raised $150 million in funding at a valuation of $1.8 billion, reaching unicorn status. In early 2026, Legora raised a $550 million Series D round led by Accel, tripling its valuation to $5.55 billion.

The company's platform is built on Microsoft Azure's OpenAI Service infrastructure. Legora has been recognized among the leading Swedish startups and has been the subject of coverage in publications including Business Insider, Bloomberg, and Sifted. As of 2025, the company had increased sign-ups from law firms and legal departments by 75 percent over a six-month period, and the platform was being used by thousands of lawyers.

Legora operates in the competitive legal technology sector, where it has been characterized as a rival to other AI-focused legal platforms such as Harvey. Labor has a technical background in software development and has been involved in hands-on product building at the company.
