Lukas Ego is a technology entrepreneur and co-founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Stillwind, a startup focused on autonomous electrical engineering. Stillwind was part of the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch.[1]
Career
Ego co-founded Stillwind in 2024 alongside Linus Meierhöfer, who serves as CEO, and Hannes Furmans, who serves as CTO. Ego holds the role of Chief Product Officer. He attended ETH Zurich.
Stillwind develops artificial intelligence tools aimed at automating aspects of electrical engineering. The company operates in the areas of AIOps, artificial intelligence, and electronics. Its first product, Stillwind Search, is a search engine designed to simplify the process of finding electronic components. The tool allows users to write natural language queries—such as describing a use case and specifying voltage requirements—which are then translated into fine-grained technical specifications and matched against a proprietary database containing millions of electronic parts.[2]
According to the company, existing databases of electronic parts, including distributor catalogues and datasheet aggregators, typically rely on coarse-grained schemas and lack the ability to handle queries that combine both semantic and exact search criteria. Stillwind Search is intended to address these limitations.
Beyond component search, the company has outlined a broader product roadmap toward what it describes as autonomous electrical engineering. This roadmap includes real-time digital simulation of circuits to provide electrical engineers with a faster trial-and-error workflow, analog circuit modeling using machine learning methods, firmware-in-the-loop testing, and spatial reasoning capabilities for tasks such as component placement and routing.
