- Linus Meierhöfer** is a technology entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of **Stillwind**, a startup focused on autonomous electrical engineering. Stillwind was part of the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch.[1] Meierhöfer is based in Switzerland.
Career
Early career
Meierhöfer studied computer science at ETH Zurich, where he conducted research in complexity theory. Prior to founding Stillwind, he held several technical positions. In 2020–2021, he worked as a machine learning intern at Tiki – Technologisches Institut für Angewandte Künstliche Intelligenz GmbH, an applied artificial intelligence research institute. In 2023, he served as a software developer intern at DRW, a trading firm. He also co-founded Nautilus Smart Systems UG, a venture he was involved with from 2023 to 2025.
Stillwind
Meierhöfer co-founded Stillwind in 2024 alongside Lukas Ego and Hannes Furmans. The company operates in the fields of artificial intelligence, electronics, and AIOps, with a stated mission to build tools for autonomous electrical engineering.
Stillwind's first product, **Stillwind Search**, is a search engine designed to simplify the process of finding electronic components. The tool allows users to write natural language queries, which it converts into fine-grained technical specifications. These specifications are then matched against a proprietary database containing millions of electronic parts. The company describes existing component databases, such as distributor catalogues and datasheet aggregators, as limited in their ability to handle both semantic and exact queries simultaneously. Stillwind Search is designed to address this limitation.[2]
Beyond component search, the company has outlined a broader product roadmap. This includes real-time digital simulation tools intended to provide electrical engineers with faster trial-and-error workflows, analog circuit modeling using machine learning methods, firmware-in-the-loop testing, and spatial reasoning capabilities for component placement and routing. The company describes these capabilities as successive steps toward a fully autonomous electrical engineering system.
At Stillwind, Meierhöfer serves as CEO, while co-founder Lukas Ego holds the role of Chief Product Officer and Hannes Furmans serves as Chief Technology Officer.
