Cameron Hake is an American software engineer and entrepreneur. He is a co-founder of Bystreet, an AI-powered deal sourcing platform for the hospitality industry that was part of the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch.[1]
Early life and education
Hake attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and data science between 2019 and 2023. During his studies, he spent time at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2022.
Career
After completing his degree, Hake worked in the Venture Development program at the Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic at the University of Wisconsin Law School from 2023 to 2024, where he served in a CTO capacity. He subsequently worked as a software engineer at InDepth Engineering in 2024.
In 2024, Hake co-founded Bystreet alongside Corey Anderson and Charlie Maki. The company is based in San Francisco, California, and operates as a software as a service (SaaS) platform in the proptech and business-to-business (B2B) sectors.[1]
Bystreet provides an AI-driven deal sourcing platform designed for development teams at hotel brands, operators, and vendors targeting the Caribbean and Latin American (CALA) hotel market. The platform offers a comprehensive database covering more than 17,000 hotels in the region, including ownership details, contact information, and market visibility data. Users can apply advanced filters to identify prospective deals, access contact details for key decision-makers at hotel properties, and monitor competitive activity and development trends within specific markets.[2]
The company was accepted into Y Combinator's Winter 2025 batch and also received backing from Script Capital. As of its YC listing, Bystreet had four employees and was reported as active.
