Ansh Gupta is an American entrepreneur and software engineer, best known as co-founder of Haleum, a startup building human risk intelligence tools for the AI era. Haleum was accepted into the Y Combinator Winter 2025 (W25) batch, one of the startup accelerator's most competitive cohorts.[1] Gupta studied computer science at the Georgia Institute of Technology and built his early career across nonprofit leadership, academic research, and engineering internships before founding the company.
Early life and education
Gupta attended Washington High School from 2018 to 2022. He then enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an expected graduation in 2025.[2] Georgia Tech's College of Computing is consistently ranked among the top computer science programs in the United States.
Career
Before founding Haleum, Gupta held several roles across engineering, research, and nonprofit leadership. Beginning in 2019, he became involved with the Shooting Stars Foundation, a youth-focused nonprofit organization. He served as California President from 2019 to 2020, then as President from 2020 to 2022, and later as a Youth Board Member from 2022 to 2024.[3] His leadership roles there began while he was still in high school, reflecting early involvement in organizational work alongside his studies.
In 2023, Gupta worked as a research assistant with a computational physics group, gaining experience in applied scientific computing. The following year, he completed a systems modelling engineering internship at Zipline, a California-based company known for its logistics and medical delivery drone operations.[4] That internship exposed him to complex autonomous systems at scale. It's a background that would prove directly relevant to Haleum's engineering work.
Haleum
Gupta co-founded Haleum in 2025. The company describes itself as a provider of "Human Risk Intelligence" for the AI era, building tools designed to help organizations assess and manage risk tied to human behavior inside AI-driven environments. Haleum was accepted into Y Combinator's Winter 2025 batch, a highly selective program that has previously backed companies including Airbnb, Stripe, and Dropbox.[5] The company is based in the Atlanta, Georgia area.[6]
The founding team includes members with prior professional experience at companies such as Uber, JPMorgan Chase, NASA, and AMD.[7] According to a feature in Huge Magazine, Haleum's focus sits at the intersection of enterprise security, behavioral analysis, and AI deployment, though the company had not yet disclosed detailed revenue figures or customer counts as of early 2025.[8] Still, acceptance into Y Combinator's W25 cohort represents meaningful third-party validation of the concept and team.
