Zack Ashen is an American software engineer and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of Keet, a company that provides authentication infrastructure for AI agents, enabling developers to connect to their customers' accounts and perform actions on their behalf. Keet was part of the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch.[1]
Career
Before founding Keet, Ashen worked as a software engineer at several companies. He held engineering roles at EquityMultiple, a real estate investment platform, from 2020 to 2021. He subsequently worked as a software engineer at PayPal in 2022 and 2023. Ashen studied at Cornell University.
Ashen co-founded Keet in 2024 alongside Tommy Tsai, also a Cornell graduate. The company was accepted into Y Combinator's Summer 2024 batch. Keet operates in the artificial intelligence, developer tools, and B2B sectors and is based in the New York area.
Keet's core product provides authentication for AI agents. Developers use the platform to connect their customers' accounts on third-party platforms and perform actions on their behalf. The service manages authenticated sessions across both legacy software and consumer websites, providing stable integrations on any web platform through an API or SDK. Use cases include accessing healthcare data and sending automated messages on platforms such as LinkedIn.[2]
The company's product also addresses the customer onboarding process for businesses. Keet automates manual data extraction, validation, and upload when new customers migrate from a previous platform, allowing implementation teams to onboard customers more quickly. The system works by having customers authenticate through a secure login portal, after which Keet extracts data from their previous provider, maps it to the new platform's schema, and allows the implementation team to review and upload the validated data.
Ashen is based in Brooklyn, New York.
