Timothy Reagan is a professor in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Maine.[1] His work has addressed language policy and planning, sign languages, and educational thought and practice.[2]

Education

Reagan earned a B.A. in History from Michigan State University, completed between 1974 and 1977.[3] He subsequently earned an M.A. and Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Illinois system, completed between 1977 and 1982.[4]

Career

Reagan began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in Educational Foundations and Research at Gallaudet University from 1983 to 1985.[5] He then served as an Associate Professor in Teacher Education at Central Connecticut State University from 1986 to 1990.[6]

From 1990 to 2004, Reagan was Executive Associate Dean of the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut.[7] He subsequently served as Dean of the School of Education at Roger Williams University from 2004 to 2005.[8]

He then served as Executive Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of the Witwatersrand from 2005 to 2006.[9] Reagan returned to Central Connecticut State University as CSU Professor of Education in Teacher Education from 2006 to 2012.[10]

From 2012 to 2015, Reagan was Dean of the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University.[11] He joined the University of Maine's College of Education and Human Development as Professor in 2016.[12]
