Tannen Hall is an American entrepreneur and software engineer who is the co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Paratus Health, a digital health company that builds AI-powered voice agents for outpatient clinic operations. The company was part of the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch.[1]
Early life and education
Hall attended Pacific Ridge School in the San Diego, California, North County area, where as a sophomore in 2020 he received an "Outstanding Delegate Award" during a virtual Model United Nations conference hosted by UCLA.[2] He subsequently enrolled at Stanford University as a member of the class of 2027. Hall took time away from Stanford to work on Paratus Health full-time.[3]
Career
Hall co-founded Paratus Health alongside Pablo Bermudez-Canete, a fellow Stanford student from the class of 2027. The company was accepted into Y Combinator in January 2025.[3]
Paratus Health develops autonomous AI voice agents designed to handle core administrative workflows in outpatient clinics. The platform manages front desk calls, patient intake, insurance verification, clinical documentation, and billing preparation. It integrates directly with major electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and Athena, aiming to replace fragmented tools and reduce manual administrative work for clinic staff.[4]
Following graduation from Y Combinator, the company raised a $2.3 million seed round in 14 days, as announced by Hall in March 2025. By December 2025, Bermudez-Canete stated that the company had raised approximately $3.5 million in total and had expanded operations to about 15 states within three months of launching.[3] The company is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with offices in the Menlo Park and Palo Alto area.[1]
