Career
Palantir Technologies
Before co-founding Upsolve AI, Balanovich spent seven years at Palantir Technologies, where he held a series of roles of increasing responsibility. He began as an Infrastructure Engineer Intern in 2015 and subsequently worked as a Software Engineer, Technical Lead and Forward Deployed Engineer (2017–2020), and Dev Lead for Palantir HyperAuto (2020–2023). During his time at Palantir, he specialized in supply chain and manufacturing business solutions, and he is credited with inventing a novel approach to automated data processing called Software-Defined Data Integration (SDDI). As Dev Lead, he oversaw the deployment of Palantir HyperAuto to over 45 enterprise customers. The HyperAuto product was referenced in Palantir's S-1 filing ahead of its direct public offering.[2]
Upsolve AI
Balanovich co-founded Upsolve AI in 2023 with Ka Ling Wu, who serves as CEO. The company builds a platform that enables SaaS businesses to embed generative business intelligence (GenBI) capabilities into their own applications. Upsolve AI provides a full data stack that allows companies to build and offer analytics dashboards to their end customers, with AI-powered features that allow users to ask natural-language data questions and receive automated visualizations and insights. The platform is positioned in the business-to-business (B2B) analytics, developer tools, and artificial intelligence sectors.
According to the company's Y Combinator profile, both founders built a similar analytics product during their time at Palantir, growing it to more than 50 enterprise customers and eight figures of annual revenue within two years.[1]
As CTO, Balanovich oversees the company's technological direction, including software engineering, data pipeline development, and platform architecture.
