Paul Shin is an American entrepreneur and mechanical engineer who is the co-founder and CEO of F4 Industries, a company that automates compliance checks for engineering drawings.[1]

Career

Prior to founding F4, Shin accumulated experience in the aerospace and automotive engineering sectors. He served as Chief Engineer and President of the Liquid Bi-Propellant Rocket Team at the Alabama Rocketry Association from 2020 to 2023. During this period, he also completed internships at notable engineering firms, including a position as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer Intern at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems in 2021 and a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Relativity Space in 2022.[2]

From 2024 to 2025, Shin worked at Tesla as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where he was responsible for developing drive unit parts for the Tesla Semi and CyberCab programs.

In 2025, Shin co-founded F4 Industries, where he serves as CEO. The company develops software that automates compliance checks for engineering drawings, a process traditionally performed manually by engineers reviewing technical documents against applicable standards and specifications. F4 aims to streamline this workflow for engineering teams working with technical drawings and documentation.[3]

Shin is based in San Francisco, California.
