- Paul-Henri Biojout** is a French entrepreneur and software engineer. He is the co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of **Dollyglot**, a conversational artificial intelligence startup that combines character-based AI interaction with real-time video avatars. The company was part of Y Combinator's Winter 2025 batch.[1]
Career
Before founding Dollyglot, Biojout developed the Yumi Dialogue Engine, an AI system designed to create conversational "clones" of online content creators. The product scaled to over 1,000 paying users. He attended CentraleSupélec, one of France's leading engineering schools, studying computer science, but left the program to co-found Dollyglot.
Biojout has also contributed to open-source AI research. In collaboration with Hugging Face and AI4Bharat, he co-developed **Parler-TTS Mini Multilingual**, described as one of the first fully open-source multilingual text-to-speech models. The project released its training code, dataset, model weights, and inference code publicly and became one of the most widely used models on the Hugging Face platform, contributing to progress in text-to-speech for previously underserved languages.[2]
Biojout co-founded Dollyglot in 2024 alongside Thomas Minassian, a former quantitative analyst at Société Générale. The company is based in San Francisco, California. Dollyglot's platform allows users to generate interactive AI personas from a photograph and a voice sample. These personas can engage in real-time spoken conversation while displaying lifelike facial expressions through video avatars, distinguishing it from text-based character AI platforms. The company describes its product as "Character.ai but with real-time video avatars," enabling users to simulate conversations with fictional characters or public figures.[1]
Prior to developing its consumer avatar platform, the company worked on foundational text-to-speech technology, partnering with agencies to produce radio advertisements and enabling brands to create podcasts at scale using AI-generated voices.
Dollyglot operates in the generative AI, consumer, social, and conversational AI sectors. According to Crunchbase, Biojout holds the title of Founder and CTO at the company.
