- Matan Goldner** is an Israeli entrepreneur and the co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of **Conntour**, an artificial intelligence company that enables governments and corporations to monitor and search security camera footage using natural language queries. Conntour was part of the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch.[1]
Career
Prior to founding Conntour, Goldner served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where he led video surveillance operations. This experience informed the development of Conntour's core technology.[1]
Goldner co-founded Conntour in August 2024 alongside Tomer Kulla, who serves as the company's chief technology officer (CTO). Kulla is a second-time founder and former director of engineering. The company's team includes computer vision specialists from the IDF's Unit 8200 intelligence unit.
Conntour develops AI-powered software that connects to existing security camera infrastructure and allows users to interact with footage through natural language. Rather than relying on pre-defined search parameters such as shirt color or license plate number, the platform allows users to type free-text queries to search past footage (e.g., "Find a man with a blue backpack"), set real-time alerts (e.g., "Notify me if someone climbs over the wall"), and extract data (e.g., "How many vehicles entered yesterday?").[2] The company positions its product as a solution to problems common in traditional video surveillance systems, including missed critical events, excessive false alarms, and the time-intensive process of manual footage review.
According to the company's Y Combinator profile, Conntour completed an $80,000 proof-of-concept engagement with the Singapore government, which the company described as leading toward a potential $2 million per year contract.[1]
Conntour announced a seed funding round on March 12, 2025. The company is based in the United States, with Goldner located in the Tel Aviv District of Israel. As of 2025, the company had approximately 17 employees.
