Majid Yazdani is an artificial intelligence scientist, engineer, and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of Leeroo, an enterprise AI platform focused on what the company describes as "organizational superintelligence" — autonomous AI agents that continuously learn from an organization's knowledge bases, human feedback, and production experiences.[1] Leeroo was part of the Y Combinator Spring 2025 batch.

Early life and education

Yazdani completed his PhD at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2013, specializing in computer science with a focus on artificial intelligence and machine learning. His academic career also involved work at the Idiap Research Institute and the University of Geneva, as indicated by his professional affiliations.

Career

Prior to founding Leeroo, Yazdani held leading technical roles at major technology companies. He worked at Meta AI (formerly Facebook AI), where he contributed to research and commercial products. One publicly noted project involved developing scalable methods for searching unstructured databases using natural language.[2] He also worked at LinkedIn AI. In March 2022, Yazdani joined BYJU'S Lab as Vice President, where he was reported to be responsible for incubating new ideas and delivering solutions across the company's ecosystem of learning products.[3][4] He is also affiliated with Entrepreneur First, an entrepreneur support program.

Yazdani co-founded Leeroo alongside Alireza Mohammadshahi. The company, based in London, was founded in 2024. Leeroo's platform deploys self-learning AI agents that adapt to enterprise workflows, data, and environments. These agents are designed to learn organizational knowledge and expert playbooks, then ship data and AI programs on a company's existing technology stack. The platform offers pre-built agent blueprints for use cases including customer churn prediction, customer segmentation, data deduplication, data quality management, web data integration, and master data management. The company claims deployment times of three weeks compared to a typical nine months, and has reported validation in portfolio companies valued at over £1 billion.

Yazdani has authored numerous academic papers and patents in the field of artificial intelligence.
