Larsa Marie Pippen (née Younan; born July 6, 1974) is an American reality television personality who first gained public attention as the wife of former NBA player Scottie Pippen and subsequently established herself as a fixture of reality television. She is an original cast member of the Bravo series The Real Housewives of Miami, having appeared in five of the show's seven seasons since its premiere in 2011.[1] Beyond the Real Housewives franchise, Pippen has made appearances on programs including Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Traitors, and has been a recurring presence in entertainment and celebrity media. Her personal life—including her marriage to and divorce from Scottie Pippen, her high-profile friendship and later falling out with Kim Kardashian, and her relationship with Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan—has generated sustained tabloid coverage. In March 2026, Bravo announced that The Real Housewives of Miami had been put on pause amid declining ratings, casting uncertainty over one of the central platforms of Pippen's television career.[2]

Early Life

Larsa Marie Younan was born on July 6, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois, to a family of Assyrian descent.[3] She grew up in the Chicago metropolitan area, a city that would later become central to her personal narrative through her marriage to Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen. Details regarding her parents, siblings, and childhood remain largely undocumented in published sources.

Pippen attended the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.[3] The specifics of her major and the year of her graduation have not been widely reported. Her time at UIC coincided with a period when the Chicago Bulls, led by Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, were dominating professional basketball, a fact that would prove significant to her later personal life.

Career

The Real Housewives of Miami (2011–present)

Pippen's television career began with the premiere of The Real Housewives of Miami on Bravo in 2011. She was part of the original cast alongside fellow housewives including Adriana de Moura, Marysol Patton, Lisa Hochstein, and Joanna Krupa.[4] The series focused on the social lives of affluent women living in the Miami area and was part of Bravo's expanding Real Housewives franchise.

The show ran for three seasons on Bravo before being cancelled. The cancellation was attributed to a variety of factors, including ratings that did not meet the network's expectations compared to other installments in the franchise.[5] After an eight-year hiatus, the series was revived with its fourth season in 2021, initially airing on the Peacock streaming platform.[6] Pippen returned as a cast member for the rebooted series, which brought back several original housewives while also introducing new members.[1]

The rebooted show ran for two seasons on Peacock before moving to Bravo's linear network for subsequent seasons. In March 2026, it was reported that Bravo had once again put the series on pause. According to Variety, the decision came amid low ratings, with the show failing to outperform other programs in the network's lineup.[2] The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news, noting that the show had been rebooted after eight years off air with its fourth season in 2021.[7] Page Six similarly reported that the pause was related to ratings that "failed to outperform some of the network's other" programming.[8]

Other Television Appearances

Outside of The Real Housewives of Miami, Pippen has made appearances across a range of television programs. She appeared on episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians through her longtime friendship with the Kardashian family, particularly Kim Kardashian.[9]

In 2018, Pippen's daughter appeared on Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, with the Pippen family participating in the show's first season.[10]

Pippen appeared on The Nick Cannon Show in December 2021.[11] She also appeared on The Wendy Williams Show in March 2022, where she discussed her relationship with Scottie Pippen.[12] She was a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen during Season 19 of that program.[13]

Pippen was cast in Season 2 of The Traitors, the Peacock competition reality series hosted by Alan Cumming.[14] She also appeared on the reality competition series House of Villains, reportedly filming the program during a period of personal upheaval following her breakup with Marcus Jordan.[15]

Pippen has additionally made a cameo appearance on the Netflix reality series Selling Sunset.[16]

Business Ventures

In addition to her television work, Pippen has pursued entrepreneurial ventures. She launched a jewelry line called Larsa Marie, which was reported on by Yahoo News.[17] The brand focuses on fine jewelry and operates through its own dedicated website.[17]

Personal Life

Marriage to Scottie Pippen

Larsa Pippen married Scottie Pippen, the six-time NBA champion and Basketball Hall of Fame inductee who played the majority of his career with the Chicago Bulls. The couple had four children together, including son Scotty Pippen Jr., who went on to pursue a career in professional basketball.[18]

The marriage between Larsa and Scottie Pippen ended in divorce. The proceedings were described by Larsa as difficult; in interviews, she stated that "for six years, I didn't get a nickel," characterizing the divorce experience as financially and emotionally challenging.[19] Bravo reported that the couple finalized their divorce, concluding a marriage that had spanned many years.[20]

Relationship with Marcus Jordan

Following her divorce, Pippen entered into a high-profile relationship with Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, who had been a longtime teammate and on-court partner of her ex-husband Scottie Pippen. The relationship attracted significant media attention, in part because of the complicated personal dynamics involved given the history between the Jordan and Pippen families.

Pippen described the experience of Michael Jordan's reported public disapproval of the relationship as traumatic. In an interview covered by Yahoo Entertainment, she stated, "I was like traumatized," and said she was "embarrassed" by the scrutiny surrounding Michael Jordan's stance on the pairing.[21] During the course of the relationship, Marcus Jordan publicly referred to Pippen as "best mom and wife," as reported by People magazine.[22]

The couple eventually broke up, with Pippen later discussing the experience publicly. People magazine reported that she discussed filming House of Villains during the period of the Marcus Jordan breakup.[15]

Relationship with Jeff Coby

As of early 2026, Pippen was in a relationship with Jeff Coby. In January 2026, Bravo reported that Pippen declared her love for Coby as they reached their first anniversary together, with Pippen sharing photos and an update on the relationship.[23]

Friendship with Kim Kardashian

Pippen was known for many years as a close friend of Kim Kardashian, with the two frequently appearing together publicly and Pippen making appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Their friendship became the subject of widespread media speculation after an apparent falling out, with the nature of the rift becoming a recurring topic in celebrity news.

In early 2026, E! News reported on an update regarding where Kardashian and Pippen stood, noting that Kardashian revealed her perspective on the relationship five years after their friendship seemingly fractured.[9] Bravo also covered Kardashian's comments, reporting that she "addresses her friendship with Larsa Pippen and reveals where they stand now."[24]

Public Controversies

Pippen faced backlash on social media after wearing box braids, a hairstyle culturally associated with Black women. BuzzFeed reported on Pippen's response to the criticism.[25]

Recognition

Pippen's public profile has been sustained primarily through her role on The Real Housewives of Miami and through the media attention generated by her personal life. As an original cast member of RHOM who returned for the series' reboot after an eight-year hiatus, she has been one of the most enduring figures associated with the franchise.[1][6]

Her participation in The Traitors Season 2 expanded her reality television presence beyond the Bravo ecosystem, introducing her to a broader audience through the Peacock competition series.[14] Her appearance on House of Villains further demonstrated her willingness to engage with a variety of reality television formats.[15]

Pippen has been profiled and featured by numerous major media outlets, including People, Us Magazine, Page Six, Marie Claire, The Hollywood Reporter, and E! News, among others. Her IMDB profile documents her television credits spanning from 2011 to the present.[26]

The intersection of her personal life with the world of professional basketball—through her marriage to Scottie Pippen, her relationship with Marcus Jordan, and the public commentary of Michael Jordan—has ensured that her media footprint extends well beyond the reality television audience, regularly generating coverage in sports media outlets as well.[21][19]

Legacy

As one of the original cast members of The Real Housewives of Miami who has participated across multiple eras of the show—from its initial Bravo run (2011–2013), through its Peacock revival (2021), and into its return to Bravo—Pippen occupies a distinctive position within the broader Real Housewives franchise. Few cast members across the various installments of the franchise have bridged such a significant hiatus and returned as central figures in a rebooted series.

The March 2026 announcement that RHOM had been placed on pause once again raised questions about the future of the series and, by extension, about the television platform that has been central to Pippen's career.[2][7][8] Regardless of the show's future, Pippen has demonstrated an ability to maintain public relevance through a combination of television appearances, social media presence, and the sustained public interest in her personal life.

Her relationship with Marcus Jordan, in particular, generated a level of media attention that transcended the typical celebrity gossip cycle, touching on themes of loyalty, family legacy, and the complex personal dynamics that can arise within the world of professional sports.[21] The public nature of Michael Jordan's reported disapproval added a dimension to the story that connected it to broader narratives about the Jordan-Pippen relationship, one of the most significant partnerships in NBA history.

Through her jewelry brand Larsa Marie and her continued television work, Pippen has sought to establish a professional identity independent of her marriage to Scottie Pippen, even as that relationship and its aftermath continue to generate public interest.[17]
