Jennifer Jacobs is a civil and environmental engineer at the University of New Hampshire. Her research addresses hydrology, remote sensing of soil moisture and snow, and the effects of climate change on transportation infrastructure, particularly pavement performance and coastal roadways.[1]
Education
Jacobs received a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University, completing her degree between 1993 and 1997.[2]
Career
Jacobs is a faculty member at the University of New Hampshire.[3]
Research
According to Semantic Scholar, Jacobs has authored 185 papers that have been cited a total of 5,303 times, giving her an h-index of 41.[4]
Her most cited work includes studies on drought index evaluation using remotely sensed data, nitrogen removal in river networks, spatiotemporal analysis of soil moisture, snow water equivalent estimation from passive microwave data, and the use of system dynamics models to assess the long-term impact of climate change on pavement performance and maintenance costs.[5]
