Jeff Frolik is an American electrical engineer and academic at the University of Vermont. His work focuses on wireless sensor systems, antenna design, and radio frequency engineering, including applications in infrastructure monitoring and wireless communications.
Research
Frolik's research spans antenna systems, software defined radio, wireless sensor networks, and applications of radio frequency technology to infrastructure and health monitoring. According to Semantic Scholar, he has authored or co-authored 146 papers that have collectively been cited 2,067 times, giving him an h-index of 23.[1]
Among his research topics are harmonic transponders, tripolar antenna systems for Internet of Things networks, and wireless sensors for monitoring railroad track ballast.[2] He has also written on the application of internet-style packet switching rules to balancing electricity supply and demand on power grids.[3]
