George Lawrence is an American entrepreneur and co-founder of Channel3, a startup building a comprehensive product data platform designed to power AI-driven commerce. Channel3 was part of Y Combinator's S25 batch.[1]
Career
Prior to founding Channel3, Lawrence worked at Palantir Technologies, a data analytics and software company.[2] He attended Duke University, where he met his future co-founder, Alexander Schiff.
In 2025, Lawrence and Schiff co-founded Channel3 in New York. The company describes itself as "the API for agentic commerce," providing an infrastructure layer that organizes product data from across the internet so that artificial intelligence agents can search, recommend, and facilitate purchases.[3] The platform offers developers access to a catalog of over 100 million products, including real-time pricing and detailed metadata, with the goal of enabling AI-powered shopping experiences.
Channel3's business model operates on two sides. For developers, the company provides an API that allows integration of product data into AI agents and applications. For brands, Channel3 offers a way to make their product listings accessible and optimized for AI-driven platforms, positioning itself as a distribution channel alongside traditional in-store retail and online search-based commerce. The company frames this as a "third channel" of commerce — after physical retail and e-commerce — in which AI agents, rather than human consumers directly, select which products to surface and recommend.[4]
The company's website cites industry statistics to contextualize its market opportunity, including a projection from McKinsey & Company estimating $5 trillion in agentic commerce revenue by 2030 and data from Adobe indicating a 4,700% year-over-year increase in AI-driven retail traffic.[5]
Lawrence and Schiff have been actively recruiting developers to build on the Channel3 platform as part of efforts to expand its ecosystem.
