Federico Reyes Gómez is a technology entrepreneur and software engineer who is the co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Tesora, a company developing artificial intelligence tools for the insurance and procurement industries. Tesora was part of Y Combinator's Summer 2025 batch.[1]

Reyes Gómez studied at Stanford University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree.[2]
Career
Reyes Gómez co-founded Tesora in 2025 alongside Vivek Rao, who serves as the company's CEO. At launch, the company described itself as building "AI-native underwriting and actuarial workflows," positioning its product as an AI-powered actuarial workbench designed to assist insurance actuarial and underwriting teams throughout the process from triage through policy binding.[3]
The Tesora platform is designed to automate and streamline insurance workflows, including data ingestion, loss ratio review, reinsurance analysis, and portfolio management. The company's website describes the tool as giving actuarial and underwriting teams "superpowers," enabling them to build more profitable insurance books more quickly. The platform includes features for project management, team collaboration, and tracking of insured values and policy timelines.
Tesora has also been described as building AI-powered "digital employees" for procurement and manufacturing operations. In this capacity, the company's product functions as an AI procurement analyst that automates supplier discovery, qualification, and negotiations through voice and email communications, allowing procurement teams to scale operations without additional headcount.
The company was accepted into Y Combinator's Summer 2025 (S25) batch. According to Y Combinator, Tesora had two employees at the time of its participation in the program. Tesora was also recognized at the DPW Awards 2025.[4]
As CTO, Reyes Gómez oversees the technical development of Tesora's AI platform. His role at the company began in April 2025.
