Esha Dinne is an Indian-American entrepreneur and software engineer who is the co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Giga (also known as GigaML), a company that builds AI-powered customer support agents for enterprises. The company was part of Y Combinator's Summer 2023 batch.[1]
Early life and education
Dinne graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2023 with a degree in Computer Science, ranking third institute-wide in her cohort.[2]
Career
Dinne co-founded Giga alongside Varun Vummadi. The company was originally focused on fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) for enterprise use cases. Although the approach yielded competitive benchmark results, the founders determined the business model was not viable and pivoted to building AI agents for enterprise customer support.[3]
Giga's platform, marketed under the domain giga.ai, provides AI agents capable of handling complex customer support interactions across chat, voice, and multi-modal channels. The company's product suite includes "Agent Canvas," a tool for building, governing, and scaling enterprise AI agents, and "Smart Insights," which surfaces patterns in customer interactions and recommends policy improvements to enhance support performance.[4] The platform supports multiple languages and is designed to be deployed within two weeks.
Giga's clients include Postman, Zepto, and DoorDash, with the company's AI agents handling over one million customer support tickets per month. Giga has secured multi-year contracts with enterprise customers and has been highlighted multiple times on Y Combinator's Light Cone podcast as one of the fastest-growing companies in YC's history.
The company has received investment from notable backers including Garry Tan, president and CEO of Y Combinator, and Nexus Venture Partners. In November 2025, Dinne announced that Giga had raised $61 million in funding. As of 2024, the company had approximately 30 employees and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
Dinne leads Giga's engineering team, overseeing the development of the company's LLM-based products.
