Crews Nathan Belaye is a software entrepreneur and the founder of Sira, an artificial intelligence-powered platform that automates time tracking, scheduling, payroll, and human resources for businesses with hourly and deskless workers. Sira is a member of the Y Combinator Summer 2025 batch.[1]

Early life and education

Belaye has stated that he grew up across four continents. He is an alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University.[2]

Career

Before founding Sira, Belaye worked at Intuit, where he led the QuickBooks Workforce mobile application.

Belaye founded Sira to address the administrative challenges faced by businesses that employ large numbers of hourly, field-based workers, such as security firms, cleaning companies, and landscaping services. The platform provides AI-driven tools for workforce management, including automated scheduling, real-time attendance tracking, timesheet anomaly detection, and payroll processing. Sira's system uses AI agents and voice AI to perform tasks that would otherwise require significant manual effort by managers — such as calling workers who are late for shifts, finding replacement workers for open shifts, and managing worker availability.

The company describes itself as an "AI Native Rippling for Deskless Workers," positioning its product as a comprehensive workforce management platform specifically designed for industries where employees work in the field rather than at desks. Workers are paid through the Sira mobile application, and the platform includes features for location verification during shifts and client-facing confirmations of worker attendance.

Sira's customers include businesses in the security, cleaning, landscaping, and home health industries. The company announced a $3.4 million seed funding round.[3]

Belaye co-founded the company alongside Antonio Chan. The company operates as a business-to-business service in the human resources technology sector.
