Carrie Cliggett is an American corporate events executive who has held leadership roles overseeing global event strategy and execution for major corporations and media organizations. Career

Wolters Kluwer

Cliggett served as the leader of the Global Events Management (GEM) team at Wolters Kluwer, the multinational information services and publishing company. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing international conference planning and execution across the company's global operations.[1]

In January 2023, Wolters Kluwer announced that the GEM team under Cliggett's leadership had been honored for excellence in three categories at the 12th annual Best in Biz Awards, winning Gold recognition. The Best in Biz Awards is an independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts. The GEM team's recognition reflected the group's work in managing the company's portfolio of events across multiple business divisions and international markets.[2]

In December 2022, Cliggett participated in discussions organized by the Event Leadership Institute regarding the challenges facing leaders of in-house corporate event teams. The conversation addressed issues that event professionals anticipated heading into 2023, including a looming economic recession, talent shortages within the events industry, and rising costs associated with conference and event production. The discussion centered on strategies for making in-house event teams indispensable to their organizations during periods of financial uncertainty.[3]

Endpoints News

In July 2023, Endpoints News, a biopharmaceutical industry news outlet, announced that Cliggett had been hired to lead the company's events division. The hire was part of a broader expansion at Endpoints News, which had grown approximately 50 percent in size during the first half of 2023. The company described Cliggett's appointment as part of its effort to build out its events business alongside expansions in its international newsroom coverage and special projects reporting.[4]

At Endpoints News, Cliggett held the title of Vice President of Events, where she was responsible for the planning and execution of the company's conferences and industry gatherings within the biopharmaceutical sector.[5]

Legal Proceedings

In 2024, Cliggett became the subject of federal criminal proceedings in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, in the case styled USA v. Cliggett (case number 2:24-cr-00522). In December 2024, a notice was filed indicating the government's intent to proceed under Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 7(b).[6] In June 2025, the United States government filed a sentencing memorandum in the case.[7]
