Ben Collins is an American entrepreneur and the co-founder and CEO of Woz, an artificial intelligence platform that enables users to build and scale software businesses without writing code. Woz was part of the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch and is based in San Francisco.[1]

Early career

Collins showed entrepreneurial interests from an early age. While a senior at the University of New Hampshire's Whittemore School of Business around 2010, he created MarketConnector.com, a website designed to allow local businesses in New Hampshire to network and conduct business online for free. He was approximately 22 years old at the time of the site's launch.

Career

Collins went on to co-found Woz, which he has described as an AI platform that replaces the need for a technical co-founder or in-house engineering team. The platform uses a team of AI agents to allow non-technical users to build software products, bring them to market, and grow businesses entirely within one system.[2]

According to the company, the initial focus of Woz is helping entrepreneurs build mobile applications and publish them directly to app stores. One early use case highlighted by the company involved a personal trainer building a fitness app for his clients. The company's stated long-term goal is to become the default platform where "millions of AI-enabled entrepreneurs launch and scale businesses."

Collins has described the founding team as consisting of engineers and machine learning scientists who worked together building AI systems for approximately a decade prior to starting Woz. The company is backed by Y Combinator, Untapped Ventures, and MGV, among other investors.

In a podcast appearance on the GTM Vault Podcast, Collins discussed how Woz's AI agent architecture can compress the timeline from idea to market from months to days, and how the platform is positioned within the broader shift toward AI-first company creation in the post-ChatGPT era.

Woz operates in the intersection of several technology categories, including artificial intelligence, software as a service (SaaS), no-code development, and design tools.
