Career
Prior to founding Autumn, Rodrigues co-founded Recase, a fintech automation startup that helped financial technology companies automate onboarding and underwriting processes. Recase's product connected with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) data sources to build custom risk-scoring models and AI workflows, aiming to reduce the need for manual review in user onboarding. Rodrigues co-founded Recase in 2024 alongside John Yeo.[2]
In 2025, Rodrigues and Yeo founded Autumn to address challenges developers face when implementing billing systems for AI products. The company's core premise is that monetization models for AI applications—particularly usage-based and credit-based pricing—are difficult to implement using existing payment infrastructure alone. Autumn positions itself as a layer on top of Stripe that replaces the custom billing logic developers would otherwise need to build themselves.[3]
The platform supports multiple pricing models, including usage-based billing, credit systems, seat-based pricing, and subscription management. According to the company, developers can integrate Autumn's billing functionality with as few as three API calls, handling subscriptions, metering, and access control in a unified system. The product eliminates the need for developers to manage Stripe webhooks and billing database infrastructure directly. Autumn's codebase is fully open-source.[4]
Autumn launched publicly in August 2025 and was featured on Product Hunt. As of late 2025, the company was hiring for engineering roles based in London, England, with compensation listed at £80,000–£120,000 GBP plus equity.[5]
According to the company's privacy policy, Rodrigues is the owner and operator of the Autumn website.
