Austin Gayne (died February 2026) was an American entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of multiple ventures operating under the SuperX name. He was known for founding a pop culture-inspired activewear company based in Nashville, Tennessee, that partnered with major entertainment brands including Marvel and Disney, as well as a separate software product, Superx, described as an "all-in-one growth OS" for creators on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Death

Austin Gayne died in early 2026. On February 22, 2026, dozens of emergency vehicles lined Interstate 40 in Haywood County, North Carolina, to honor him with a memorial procession. The tribute was organized to raise awareness of the slow down, move over law — a roadside worker safety measure — and to pay respects to Gayne, who had been a Florida roadside worker. Local emergency services participated with flashing lights in a procession along the interstate, drawing attention from motorists and media outlets across the region.[1] The event was covered by WLOS News 13 and widely shared on social media, with reporters including Elijah Skipper and Holly Headrick noting the significance of the tribute as both a personal memorial and a public safety message directed at drivers.

SuperX established licensing partnerships with brands including Marvel, Disney, and Transformers, producing collections based on characters such as Spider-Man.[2] In a 2025 interview, Gayne, then 29 years old, discussed the impact of tariffs on the company's supply chain, noting that SuperX had previously sourced materials from China and had pivoted in response to changing United States trade policies.

Prior to founding SuperX apparel, Gayne was also involved with S-FORCE Watches, as noted in a 2022 feature in Nashville Voyager.

Superx (X Analytics Platform)

Gayne also created Superx, a software tool designed for content creators on the X platform. The product functioned as both a Chrome extension and a web application, providing analytics, audience insights, and content planning features to help users grow their presence on the platform. According to its product page, Superx offered tools including a "Content Studio" and "Inspiration" features aimed at helping creators develop and schedule posts. The tool was featured on the Chrome Web Store and on Product Hunt, where it earned a top post badge.[3]
