Arko C is an entrepreneur and technology executive who is the co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Pipeshift, an artificial intelligence infrastructure company that provides inference services for real-time production workloads. Pipeshift was part of the Y Combinator Summer 2024 batch.[1]
Career
Prior to founding Pipeshift, Arko C built Amigo, described as India's first fully anonymous mental health platform.[2] He subsequently transitioned into the AI infrastructure space, co-founding Pipeshift.
Pipeshift helps engineering teams run real-time inference in production environments. The company offers optimized model runtimes designed to meet latency and throughput service-level agreements (SLAs), combined with infrastructure orchestration that automatically scales and routes workloads across clusters and regions. The platform supports open-source, custom, and fine-tuned AI models on infrastructure built for high-performance inference at scale. Key features include low-latency serving, fast cold starts, a model API sandbox for prototyping, infrastructure observability tools, and multi-region deployment across more than ten regions. Pipeshift positions itself as an alternative to shared API providers, offering single-tenant dedicated deployments with 99.99% uptime guarantees and predictable costs. The company has been described as a "Heroku for open-source LLMs."[3]
Pipeshift operates in the AIOps, generative AI, and infrastructure sectors and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Arko C is a member of the Forbes Technology Council, where he has contributed articles on topics including product-market fit for technology offerings.
