Anmol Tukrel is a Canadian entrepreneur and technology professional who is the co-founder and CEO of Closera, a Y Combinator-backed startup that builds artificial intelligence tools for commercial real estate brokerages. Closera is part of Y Combinator's Summer 2025 batch and is based in San Francisco.[1]
Early life and education
Tukrel grew up in Markham, near Toronto, Canada.[2] At the age of 16, he designed a personalized search engine as a project for the Google Science Fair, which he claimed was up to 47 percent more accurate than Google's own search results. The project received widespread media coverage.[3] In 2017, he won the Ontario Science Centre's Weston Youth Innovation Award for his work on iDentifi, a mobile application that uses computer vision to identify objects for visually impaired users. The app was used in over 100 countries and was featured in a Google commercial.[4]
Tukrel studied computer science at Stanford University, graduating in 2021. He is also a graduate student at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (class of 2027).
Career
Before founding Closera, Tukrel worked at Google as an Associate Product Manager, where he worked on Gmail and Google Photos. He also interned as a product manager at Microsoft.[5]
Tukrel co-founded Closera to apply artificial intelligence to commercial real estate workflows. The platform automatically generates client deliverables, creates property valuation documents, and verifies listing information for thousands of properties simultaneously. The company describes its products as "AI employees for commercial real estate."[6] In 2025, Y Combinator invested $500,000 in Closera as part of its Summer 2025 batch.[7]
