Amritanshu Pandey is an electrical engineer and academic who serves as Assistant Professor of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Vermont.[1] His work focuses on power flow analysis, power systems simulation, and grid cybersecurity.[2]

Education

Pandey received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2019, having begun the program in 2015.[3]

Career

Pandey held positions at Carnegie Mellon University as Special Faculty in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2020 to 2022, and as Courtesy Special Faculty in the Department of Engineering and Public Policy in 2020.[4] In 2023, he joined the University of Vermont as Assistant Professor of Electrical and Biomedical Engineering.[5]

According to Semantic Scholar, Pandey has authored 64 papers that have collectively received 723 citations, giving him an h-index of 17.[6] His research includes work on robust power flow methods, three-phase power flow analysis, anomaly detection in electrical grids, cloud computing adoption in power systems, and equivalent circuit formulations for AC optimal power flow.[7]

In 2024, Pandey received a National Science Foundation award of $250,000 for the collaborative research project "Scalable Circuit theoretic Framework for Large Grid Simulations and Optimizations: from Combined T&D Planning to Electromagnetic Transients," conducted at the University of Vermont & State Agricultural College.[8]
