Almo Sutedjo is a German-based software engineer and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Comena, a company that develops artificial intelligence agents to automate order entry for industrial distributors and manufacturers. Comena was part of Y Combinator's Summer 2025 (S25) batch.[1]

Career

Sutedjo holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich. Before founding Comena, he worked as a software engineer at several major technology companies. He was employed at Amazon Web Services (AWS), HubSpot, and Microsoft, where he was involved in integrating Azure Web Services into the OpenAI SDK. He was also the first hire at Leaping AI, another Y Combinator-backed company from the Winter 2025 batch.[2]

Sutedjo co-founded Comena in 2025 alongside Jiehua Wu, who serves as the company's CEO. The company builds AI-powered agents designed to automate the order processing workflow for industrial distributors and manufacturers. Comena's platform addresses several operational challenges common in industrial distribution: the manual transcription of orders from emails, PDFs, spreadsheets, and even handwritten notes into enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; the time-consuming process of matching customer product requests to items in a distributor's catalog; and the creation of quotes, which traditionally can take days when handled manually.

The platform uses AI to extract relevant information from incoming order documents in various formats, match requested products to the correct entries in a company's product catalog, and integrate the processed data directly into existing ERP systems. Comena also offers automated request-for-quotation (RFQ) matching, enabling distributors to process tenders containing thousands of product requests with reduced manual effort.

The company is based in Munich, Germany, and as of 2025 had two employees. Comena has posted job openings for engineering and business roles in Munich, with salaries listed in euros, indicating its primary operations are in Germany.[3]
