Adarsh Ambati is an American entrepreneur and technologist who is the co-founder and CEO of Haleum, a cybersecurity and artificial intelligence company focused on human risk intelligence. Haleum was part of the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch.[1]
Early life and education
Ambati grew up in San Jose, California. As a teenager, he gained recognition for social innovation and environmental projects. In 2019, he built an IoT community sprinkler system using a Raspberry Pi, which was featured in The MagPi magazine.[2] In 2020, he won the Innovation prize in the International Young Eco-Hero Awards.[3] He was also featured in The Guardian in 2020 as one of several young people using coding to address real-world problems.[4] In 2021, he was recognized as one of 15 "young heroes" by the Barron Prize for his work on environmental and social issues.[5]
Ambati attended Stanford University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. He was also involved with the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students (BASES), where he led Hackspace initiatives.
Career
Ambati co-founded Haleum, which describes itself as providing "Human Risk Intelligence for the AI-era." The company develops AI-powered tools that monitor corporate communication channels to detect insider threats, financial fraud, intellectual property theft, and compliance violations. According to the company, traditional security monitoring focuses on files and network traffic, while Haleum uses large language models to analyze risks embedded in everyday workplace conversations across communication platforms.[6]
Haleum participated in Y Combinator's Winter 2025 batch and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The company operates in the artificial intelligence and cybersecurity sectors. The Haleum team includes members with experience at companies such as Uber, JPMorgan Chase, NASA, and AMD.
Prior to Haleum, Ambati led several community-focused technology projects, including Community Sprinkler, an IoT-based irrigation system, and Gro-STEMs, a social innovation initiative aimed at promoting STEM education.
