Yuki Chikudate is a musician. She was the primary vocalist and keyboardist from the dream pop music group Asobi Seksu.

Musical career

(January 2013)In 2001, she founded the dream pop band Asobi Seksu with guitarist James Hanna, bassist Glenn Waldman and drummer Keith Hopkin. The music group released their debut recording in 2004. The next album, Citrus premiered in 2006, after a lineup switch. The music group released Hush and Fluorescence in '09 2009 and 2011, respectively, after another lineup switch. In 2013, the music group announced an indefinite hiatus.IN-MAY 2009, Chikudate released the "Sampo" solitary with Pocket, featuring remixes by Mux Mool, Blue Eye, and Craig Wedren.

Personal life

Chikudate was created in Japan for an Okinawan mom, and offers stated that aside from her mom, the majority of her maternal family members have a home in Okinawa. In her early youth, she transferred to Southern California with her parents and spent her youth there. At age group 16, she transferred to NY by herself, abandoning her family.
