Tony Yamin is an American technology entrepreneur and the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Parachute, a health technology company that provides governance infrastructure for hospitals to monitor and deploy clinical artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The company participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2025 batch.[1]
Career
Yamin co-founded Parachute alongside Aria Vikram. As CTO, Yamin is responsible for the company's technical direction and product development. Parachute is based in New York City and operates in the software as a service (SaaS), health technology, business-to-business (B2B), healthcare IT, and AI sectors.
Parachute builds infrastructure that enables hospitals to adopt AI safely and at scale. The platform addresses several challenges that healthcare institutions face when integrating AI into clinical workflows. It vets AI tools to identify those that fill clinical gaps, conducts evaluations of AI models, and continuously monitors deployed models for performance drift and regulatory compliance. Every decision made through the platform is recorded in an immutable audit trail, providing hospitals with auditable documentation for governance purposes.[2]
The company's platform is designed to help hospitals maintain compliance with multiple regulatory frameworks and standards, including those set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In August 2025, Yamin and co-founder Vikram presented Parachute on Hacker News as part of a "Launch HN" post, describing the company as building "governance infrastructure that lets hospitals safely" deploy clinical AI.[3]
Parachute was included in a September 2025 Forbes article highlighting notable startups from Y Combinator's Summer 2025 batch.[4]
