Riya Jagetia is an American technology entrepreneur and product leader who is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Socratix AI, a company that builds autonomous artificial intelligence coworkers for fraud and risk teams. The company is backed by Y Combinator as part of its Summer 2025 batch.[1]
Career
Before founding Socratix AI, Jagetia held product and engineering roles at several technology and financial services companies. She worked at The D. E. Shaw Group as a product manager and subsequently held a position at Unit21, a fraud prevention platform, where she led the AI/ML and Detection Modeling teams, focusing on fraud prevention and real-time monitoring.[2] She later worked at DoorDash, where, according to the company's own account, she helped save over $30 million per year by building fraud detection and investigation tooling. She also worked at Cognite, a Norwegian industrial software company, and in January 2020 spoke at the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) annual conference on the topic of cultural diversity in business.
Jagetia has spoken at industry events related to fraud prevention and risk management, including the 2024 Marketplace Risk Management Conference and events organized by Nacha.
Jagetia co-founded Socratix AI with Satya, who previously built AI systems at Cruise and enterprise products at LinkedIn. The company, based in San Francisco, develops AI agents designed to assist fraud and risk analysts at fintech companies and banks. Socratix AI's product integrates into existing workflows to investigate alerts in real time, replacing manual review processes with automated, explainable decisions. The platform is intended to help teams reduce fraud losses, minimize false positives, and scale operations without proportionally increasing headcount. A published case study describes how Super.com used Socratix AI to scale account reviews by 20 times.
In October 2025, Socratix AI announced it had raised $4.1 million in seed funding to further develop its AI coworker platform for fraud and risk teams.[3]
The company's founding team draws on experience from organizations including DoorDash, Unit21, LinkedIn, Cruise, Rubrik, MIT, IIT Hyderabad, UCLA, D. E. Shaw, and Y Combinator.[4]
