Daniel Ajayi is a Nigerian-American entrepreneur and co-founder of Sorce, a mobile application that applies a swipe-based interface—often compared to Tinder—to the job search process. Users swipe right on job listings they are interested in, after which an AI agent navigates to the employer's website and submits an application on their behalf.[1]

Early life and education

Ajayi attended Williamstown High School in New Jersey, where he participated in Rowan College of South Jersey's High School Options Program, earning college credits at a discount before transitioning to higher education.

Career

Ajayi co-founded Sorce alongside David Alade and Oluwapelumi Dada. The platform launched in August 2024 and quickly gained traction, particularly in the United States. According to the company, Sorce facilitated over 7.5 million swipes since its inception and helped candidates secure hundreds of interviews daily. The app hosts approximately 1.6 million job listings spanning a wide range of industries and experience levels, from entry-level retail positions to senior executive roles in fields such as software engineering, marketing, and sales.

The founding team's stated motivation was to make the job application process less burdensome. When a user uploads a resume and swipes right on a listing, Sorce's AI agent completes the application process automatically by navigating to the hiring company's careers page. The platform's users have reported receiving interviews and offers from companies including Peloton, the University of Pennsylvania, Robinhood, Red Bull, Bank of America, SpaceX, MongoDB, Neuralink, Jane Street, and Anduril, among others.

The app attracted attention from investors, including interest from David Lieb, a General Partner at Y Combinator and the creator of Google Photos. Sorce is also part of the portfolio of F.inc, an early-stage investment firm.

Ajayi and his co-founders were profiled by several media outlets, including Techpoint Africa, which noted that Ajayi and Alade were 22 and 21 years old respectively at the time of the article's publication in October 2025, and Zikoko!, which described the platform's swipe-based model and its rapid growth in the U.S. market.
