Vittore Baroni


Vittore Baroni (given birth to 1956), given birth to in Forte dei Marmi, Italy, can be an Italian mailartist, music critic and explorer of countercultures. He was the originator of formative network projects like the TRAX modular program (1981–1987), the multiple titles Lieutenant Murnau and Luther Blissett, the Stickerman task and F.U.N. (Funtastic US, since 2001). He is located in Viareggio, Italy.

Mail Art and Arte Postale!

Vittore Baroni was introduced towards the email artwork network in 1977 through Guglielmo Achille Cavellini, and instantly became heavily involved, participating each year in a large number of international tasks and displays. From 1979 he structured some Mail Artwork exhibitions for the Forte dei Marmi City Library and released the first problem of his enduring mag Arte Postale!In 1992 he created, with Piermario Ciani, the Stickerman Museum specialized in all types of adhesive art. Furthermore to composing the important books, Arte Postale, guida al network della corrispondenza creativa (1997) and Postcarts – Cartoline d’artista (2005), he also edited the books Silicone Stamp Artwork by John Held Jr. (1999) and Artistamps by Adam Warren Felter (2002)In 2000, Baroni was Curator from the Email Artwork section for a big retrospective exhibition in the art avant-gardes from the 20th century, Sentieri Interrotti on the Museo d'Arte Moderna of Bassano del Grappa. He's co-founder from the ethnic association BAU in Viareggio.He in addition has conceived and coordinated several main international networking tasks – IM98: A Season Of Incongruous Conferences (1998). The F.U.N. Audio art celebration (2009) Art Cleansing (2010)Baroni's 30th Wedding anniversary in mail artwork was celebrated with some exhibitions and tasks in Viareggio and Berlin, documented in 6 problems of Arte Postale! mag, and culminating in the ultimate, 100th edition in '09 2009. A boxed group of the complete assortment of Arte Postale! was obtained with the Mart Museum in Rovereto this year 2010.

Music and Audio

Baroni offers produced and published sound functions since 1980 when he began saving beneath the pseudonym Lieutenant Murnau. The next calendar year he founded, with Piermario Ciani, the worldwide multimedia system group TRAX to making magazines, cassettes, information, t-shirts and concert events, and in 1991 he became a member of the musical task Le Forbici di Manitù which proceeds to release Compact disc editions.He's also a prodigious music journalist. In 1982 he became an employee article writer for the rock and roll regular Rockerilla, in 1989 he added towards the monumental Enciclopedia Rock and roll Anni ’80 by Arcana Editrice, and in 1992 he co-founded, with Claudio Sorge and Alberto Campo, the regular rock newspaper Rumore.
