Biography

William Anthony “Tony” Dark brown (born Apr 11, 1933) can be an American journalist, academian, comedian and businessman. He’s most widely known as the commentator from the long term syndicated tv program, Tony Brown’s Journal. Brown is an associate of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

Accomplishments

1959, he received a BA in Sociology from Wayne Condition School. 1961, he received an MA in Psychiatric Public Function from Wayne Condition University. He's a previous faculty member at Central Washington School and Federal Town University. 1971, he became the founding dean of Howard University's College of Conversation. 1989, he wrote, directed, created and distributed a dramatic film with an anti-drug message, The White Gal. 1998, composed Empower THE INDIVIDUALS: A 7-Stage intend to Overthrow the Conspiracy that's Stealing YOUR CASH and Independence 2002, he was inducted in to the Country wide Academy of Tv Arts and Sciences' Sterling silver Group. 2004, he became the dean of Hampton University's Scripps Howard College of Journalism and Marketing communications. He held the positioning until 2009, when he stepped down.In 1988 he wrote, produced, and directed the film The White Gal, which dramatized an BLACK student's have a problem with cocaine addiction.He joined the Republican Party in 1990.
