Stephen Aitken (given birth to 25 Sept 1976 in Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer who’s currently the supervisor of Dumbarton in the Scottish Tournament. Aitken performed for Greenock Morton, Stranraer, Stenhousemuir and Arthurlie. He rejoined Stranraer in ’09 2009 as associate supervisor to Keith Knox. Aitken retired as a new player in 2011 and was appointed supervisor of Stranraer in Oct 2012. He remaining the golf club for Dumbarton on 27 May 2015.



Aitken started his older profession with Greenock Morton, where he played for eight years before moving to Stranraer where he remained for 6 years. Upon departing Stranraer he became a member of Stenhousemuir briefly, before departing the senior video game to become listed on Barrhead part Arthurlie in the junior rates.

Coaching and Management

In '09 2009, he returned to Stranraer for another time at age 32, and shortly thereafter used a job as assistant supervisor. On 27 Oct 2012 Aitken was appointed supervisor at the golf club.After an effective 3 years with Stranraer he joined Dumbarton in-may 2015, to displace Ian Murray. He received his 1st competitive game in control 3-2 against previous golf club Greenock Morton. After keeping the golf club in the Scottish Tournament for both of his months in control, he agreed a fresh 2 year offer in-may 2017.
