Simon Chung Tak-sing (Chinese language: 鐘德勝), is a Hong Kong film movie director. His films consist of Innocent, released in 2005, End of Appreciate which premiered on the 59th Berlin International Film Festival in ’09 2009, and Speechless, released in 2012, and which premiered on the BFI 26th London Lesbian and Homosexual Film Festival (since renamed BFI Flare: London LGBT Film Festival), on 28 March 2012. Chung individually identifies as homosexual.
Early life and education
Chung was created and raised in Hong Kong, and from age fifteen, in the town of Toronto in Canada, where he attended senior high school. He was later on informed at York College or university in Toronto, where he majored in Film, accompanied by Hong Kong Baptist College or university, in Kowloon Tong in Hong Kong, where he produced his first 3rd party movies in the specialized department with the Chinese College or university of Hong Kong in Shatin, in Hong Kong's New Territories, where he got a master's level in Cultural Research.
Life and career
Chung's initial film brief was Chiwawa Express, manufactured in 1992. His initial full-length feature film, Innocent, manufactured in 2005, premiered on the Hong Kong International Film Celebration and earned the NFB Greatest Canadian Film Prize on the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Celebration. His second feature, End of Appreciate, premiered on the Berlin International Film Celebration in '09 2009, while his third, Speechless, premiered on the BFI London Lesbian and Homosexual Film Celebration. He's a founding person in Ying e Chi, an unbiased film distributor in Hong Kong.
