Biography

Selçuk Aydın (given birth to 4 Sept 1983) is a Turkish professional boxer. He kept the Western european welterweight name from 2009 to 2010; the WBC Sterling silver welterweight name from 2010 to 2012; and provides challenged once for the WBC interim welterweight name in 2012. As an beginner he won many medals on the Western european and EU Championships, all in the light-weight division.

Amateur career

As an amateur he fought as an adolescent at bantamweight where he won the Euro U17 name in 1999 so that as a senior in the lightweight (60 kg) category where he won the Euro junior name in 2001. At mature level he gained bronze in 2002 and a sterling silver medal on the 2004 Western european Beginner Boxing Championships in Pula, Croatia where he dropped to Dimitar Shtilianov. 2003 on the globe championships he dropped his second fight Thai Pichai Sayotha.Aydın won the 2004 Globe School Boxing Championships and in addition participated on the 2004 Summer months Olympics in Athens, Greece but was eliminated in the first circular by Shtilianov.He was more lucrative on the 2005 Mediterranean Video games in Almería, Spain and won the sterling silver medal, on the Globe Championships 2005 he shed his third bout to Jong Sub-Baik. Professional career

Selcuk Aydin's professional debut was against Marian Gabris and knocked him away in the very first circular with 1 minute 31 secs in. Then fought many other fighters. His initial major combat for a name was against Lucky Lewele for the vacant WBC International welterweight name. He defeated him using a unanimous decision to get the title. Then defended his name against Marat Khuzeev, Luis Hernandez, Said Ouali and Jackson Osei Bonsu. On June 5, 2010 Selcuk got a bout with Jo Jo Dan for the vacant WBC Sterling silver welterweight name. He defeated Jo Jo Dan using a questionable divide decision to earn and nab himself the WBC Sterling silver welterweight title. He'd then look at beat Jo Jo Dan once again via questionable decision within a re-match more than a year down the road November 26, 2011.
