Initially among the 51 rookie aspirants in this year’s 2009 PBA draft, Burtscher was selected simply because the sixth overall pick with the Alaska Aces. Burtscher earned his first band as a first year when he performed for the Aces for just two seasons before getting traded towards the after that B-Meg Llamados and earning his second PBA tournament.
