Mary Beams

Mary Beams (given birth to March 30, 1945) can be an American musician and animator, most widely known as the creator from the Boston MBTA green series murals. She created 19 murals for the city’s Federal government Middle station in the later 1970s. If they had been taken out in 2015 during an overhaul from the place, the Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority made initiatives to get hold of her and come back the paintings. She turned down their offer to come back the paintings, and decided to place them up for open public auction. Explaining the murals, Beams stated “I’d place anything I sensed like placing, so in a single window you may find giant hands keeping giant newspapers, and within the next you might visit a group playing with a puppy.” Beams worked like a teaching associate in the Carpenter Middle for the Visual Arts, and her function continues to be collected from the Museum of Contemporary Art.
