Krista Benjamin

Biography

Krista Benjamin (given birth to 1970, Truckee, California) can be an American poet and article writer. Her poem, “Notice from My Ancestors” was chosen by Guest Editor Billy Collins for inclusion in THE VERY BEST American Poetry 2006. Extra poems and tales appear in SUNLIGHT, Margie, Minnesota Review, Pearl (literary journal), and Phoebe, among additional journals. Recent honours include an Designer Fellowship and two Jackpot Grants or loans through the Nevada Arts Council, and a Literary Designer Grant through the Sierra Arts Basis. Krista in addition has created freelance for several magazines including Reno Journal, Nevada Magazine, Think that & Discover, and Above & Beyond. She lives in Carson Town, Nevada, where she actually is at work on the novel. She actually is a graduate from the College or university of California, NORTH PARK, where she received a B.A. in Books, and of Sierra Nevada University, where she do the coursework on her behalf teaching credential.
