Kevan Barbour

Biography

Kevan Christopher Barbour (given birth to Oct 23, 1949) can be an international cricket umpire from Zimbabwe. Prior roles have got included being leader, chairman and provincial supervisor from the Manicaland Cricket Association. Barbour was created in Bulawayo and educated in Milton SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. He performed for Matabeleland from 1968 until 1970, when he transferred to function in Mutare, and performed for Manicaland until 1975. He also performed for the Rhodesia B cricket group. After an additional proceed to Kwekwe, he performed for Midlands until 1977. He resolved back Mutare and performed for Manicaland once again until 1979. He retired being a cricketer in 1996, and used umpiring. He produced his worldwide umpiring debut in 1998 during an ODI video game between Zimbabwe and Pakistan prior to making his Check umpiring debut the next year in the very first Check between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka at Bulawayo in November 1999. He umpired three additional Testing in 2001, all in Zimbabwe: the very first Check against Bangladesh at Bulawayo in Apr 2001, the next Check against Western Indies at Harare in July 2001, and 2nd Check against South Africa at Bulawayo in Sept 2001. He was an umpire in the 2003 Cricket Globe Cup and it is a member from the ICC’s International -panel of Umpires and Referees. By August 2010, he has umpired 4 Testing and 51 ODIs, mostly recently standing up within an ODI in Oct 2009. Save for just two Globe Glass ODIs in South Africa, and three additional ODIs in Sharjah in 2003, all have already been performed in Zimbabwe, and everything but a few relating to the Zimbabwe nationwide cricket group. Barbour in addition has been the 3rd umpire in six Testing in Zimbabwe, lately in 2005, and 29 ODIs.
