Kelvin Atkinson (given birth to Apr 8, 1969) is a Democratic person in the Nevada Senate, representing Region 4. He previously offered in the Nevada Set up, representing Clark State Region 17 from 2002 to 2012. On Apr 22, 2013, throughout a debate on repealing Nevada’s homosexual marriage ban, Atkinson announced over the Senate floor that: “I’m dark. I’m homosexual.” It had been the very first time he previously publicly defined as homosexual. He became the 5th openly LGBT person in the Nevada legislature, alongside Senators David Parks and Patricia Spearman, aswell as Assemblymen Adam Healey and Andrew Martin.
