Jussi Chydenius (given birth to Dec 30, 1972) is a Finnish musician and composer. He’s most widely known for performing bass in the vocal ensemble Rajaton. He’s the kid of composer Kaj Chydenius and movie director Kaisa Korhonen. His sibling is music manufacturer Kalle Chydenius. He performed drums for the rock-band Don Huonot from 1989–2001 and was a founding member. He also starred in the sketch humor present Vintiöt. Chydenius was elected at the town Council of Helsinki in 2001 where he’s also an associate from the Cultural Board. In an assessment of a recently available Rajaton live concert, one writer noted that Chydenius, “appears like a double-bass or produces a whole drum corps, realistically snapping out a snare drum tempo and rolling it off into silence.” Of the group, he observed, “Cymbals splash from all around the group as required but each one of these results, marvellously, reach a pared-down degree of subtlety which is normally neither under- nor over-done. The littlest vocal inflection is normally inserted precisely set up, not examined, but spontaneous.”
