Jon Olav Alstad (given birth to 9 August 1968) is a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. Alstad was created in Stjørdal, a kid of farmer Jon Alstad and nurse Astrid Ingebjørg Folstadli. He graduated from Stjørdal Top Secondary College in 1987, and proved helpful being a employed farmer from 1986 to 1989. He was elected to Stjørdal municipal council in 1987 and once again in 1991. From 1987 to 1989, he chaired the neighborhood chapter from the Employees’ Youth Group (AUF) from 1987 to 1989. He also proved helpful being a machine operator at Dyno Norplast from 1987 to 1989. He went to the BI Norwegian Business College from 1989 to 1991. From 1991 to 1993, he sat over the nationwide plank of AUF. In 1993, he was elected state head for Nord-Trøndelag Youngsters Against Norwegian Account in europe. In 1993, Alstad was elected towards the Norwegian Parliament, at an age of 25. He was re-elected once again in 1997, but didn’t win a normal chair in the 2001 election. Nevertheless, he was the 1st deputy representative during this time period. While in parliament, he sat in the Standing up Committee for Family members Affairs, Cultural Affairs and Administration. He became a farmer once again in 1995. After dropping his regular chair in parliament, he analyzed business administration at Nord-Trøndelag University or college University from 2002 to 2004. From 2003 to 2007, he sat within the Nord-Trøndelag Region Table for Agriculture. Since 2004, he spent some time working at Tankesmia, where he in addition has sat within the table since 2007. Since 2005, he offers sat within the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s council. In 2007, he came back as an elected person in Stjørdal municipal council.
