John A. Affleck can be an American previous college sports trainer. He coached football, men’s golf ball, and men’s golfing at Binghamton School, furthermore to portion as an trainer and administrator. Under him, Binghamton’s men’s golfing program experienced for nine NCAA Competitions, including one in Department I. He’s the only teacher of physical education in the Condition University of NY (SUNY) program to have obtained the Chancellor’s Prize for Teaching.

Coaching career


Affleck began his training career as the top trainer of Harpur College's football plan. (Harpur became area of the Condition University of NY system in the beginning of the 1965–1966 educational season, and was renamed Condition University of NY at Binghamton, because of this.) Affleck coached the school's football plan for nine periods (1964–1972) and got a standard record of 46-56-1. SUNY Binghamton got its initial 10-win period under Affleck when it proceeded to go 10-6 in 1971.

Men's basketball

In the beginning of the 1972–1973 academic year, Affleck remaining the baseball system to become the top trainer of SUNY Binghamton's men's basketball system. He was the program's mind trainer for 11 months (1972–1973 to 1982–1983). His profession record was 100-158. His groups finished with an absolute percentage above .500 in mere three of his eleven months, plus they never finished much better than .500 in SUNYAC play.

Men's golf

In 1985, Affleck started a club men's golf program at SUNY Binghamton. Under him, men's golfing became a varsity sport at the institution for the beginning of the 1988–1989 time of year. (In 1992, SUNY Binghamton started discussing itself just as Binghamton University or college, and the switch was shown in the school's athletic applications.) He offered as Binghamton's mind trainer for 15 periods (1988–1989 to 2002–2003), where the group won 69 competitions and experienced for nine NCAA Competitions. In seven Department III tournament performances (1992–1998), Binghamton's highest surface finish was fourth put in place 1993. The Bearcats also made an appearance in one Department II and one Department I competition, as Binghamton's athletic plan moved to raised divisions from the NCAA. In the 1999 NCAA Department II North Regional, Binghamton completed 11th out of 15 groups. In the 2003 NCAA Department I East Regional, Binghamton completed 22nd out of 27 groups.Affleck received person identification for his golfing coaching profession. He was called District Trainer of the entire year six times as well as the America East Meeting Coach of the entire year in 2003.
