Biography

Johannes Nicolaas ‘Johan’ Ackermann (given birth to June 3, 1970) is a retired South African rugby union participant and current trainer. A lock, he lately performed Super 14 rugby for the Sharks. Ackerman is well known for his physical method of the overall game. In 2007, Johan Ackermann became the oldest Springbok to try out for the nationwide side, at age 37. Following the 2007 Globe Glass in France, he was recalled towards the Springbok squad to try out against the Barbarians. This is his last outing as a global player. Ackermann bowed out of professional rugby on an absolute notice on 1 March 2008, when the Sharks defeated the Bulls 29-15 in Loftus Versfeld. He became the oldest participant ever in Super Rugby background at age group 7004137860000000000
