Editorial Policies
Neutrality
All articles must be written from a neutral point of view, presenting facts and verifiable information without bias. Opinion, speculation, and promotional language are not permitted.
Sources
All claims must be cited to reliable, independent sources. Acceptable sources include:
- Major newspapers and magazines
- Peer-reviewed publications
- Court records and government documents
- Books from established publishers
Unacceptable sources:
- Press releases
- Self-published websites or social media
- Wikipedia (may be used as a starting point, not a citation)
Living Persons
Particular care is taken with articles about living people. Unsourced or poorly sourced negative claims about living persons will be removed immediately.
Conflict of Interest
Subjects, their employees, family members, or paid representatives may not edit articles about them. Suspected COI editing should be reported to an administrator.
No Original Research
Biography Wiki does not publish original research, investigative reporting, or analysis. We summarize and cite what reliable sources have already published.
